イラストレーターであるミツさんには、ここ十年ほど、新しいカタログを作るたび、毎回のように仕事をお願いしている気がします。
ミツさんを初めて知るきっかけとなったのは、たまたま見つけたホームページでした。好きな本や映画や音楽のことを書き綴った各ページの、手書きのタイトル文字がなんだかとても良かったのです。いわゆる上手な字というのとは違うのですが、次の日にも気になって、またその次の日にも見返してみたりしているうちに、どうしても何か書いてもらいたいと勝手に盛り上がってしまいました。
それから間もなく、長い長いお願いの手紙に根負けされたのでしょうが、とにかく仕事を引き受けてくれることになりました。
最初にカタログの題字を書いてもらって、次にホウロウのお弁当箱に使うイラストをお願いしました。そうしたら、「何の絵か分かるような絵が描いてあるお弁当箱を、自分なら使わない。」と言って、点や丸が並ぶだけのイラストが出来上がりました。
今度は台所ふきんに使えるような、先日のお弁当箱みたいなイラストを描いてと頼むと、「ふきんなら、綺麗なピンクやブルーの無地のが欲しい。」と言うのでした。
最近、また手書きの日本語ロゴを使いたいと言ったら、「今はあの感じの雰囲気ではないと思う。」と言って書きたがりません。
そんな調子で、毎回思わぬ答えが返ってくるのが、知らぬ間に面白くなってしまっていました。これはきっと売れないけれど、絶対素敵だからと作ったものが、やっぱり売れなくても懲りることなく、いくつもの新たな企画に取り組みました。
そして今出来上がったのが、このリネンガーゼハンカチです。ワンポイントの刺繍が文句無しに可愛い。
「でも、ちょっと可愛すぎませんか？　これ、自分で使いますか？」
「もちろん自分で使います。私にとって大丈夫な可愛いと大丈夫でない可愛いがあって、これは大丈夫な可愛いです。」
「どこらへんが大丈夫なところですか？」
「つまりそれは、ユーモア、というか、、、」
「なるほど。ではこれで行ってみましょう。」

I feel like asking for work like every time whenever I make a new catalogue to Mitsu who is an illustrator for approximately these past ten years.
It was the homepage that it found by chance to have been a chance to know Mitsu for the first time. The handwritten title letter of each page that wrote favorite book and movie and music was very somewhat good. It was different from so-called good handwriting, but has swelled without permission while I was worried on the next day and looked down on an again following day when I wanted to be never what or to write it.
Then it would be given in to the letter of the long long request soon, but, anyway, will undertake work.
I had you write the title of the catalogue and asked for an illustration to use for a lunch box of the enamel next first. I said, "I do not use the lunch box which any picture or picture which I knew was described in if it was oneself." if I did so it, and the illustration which a point and circles only lined up was completed.
I said, "I want one of the pink that was beautiful if it was a dishcloth and a blue plain fabric." this time when I asked when I drew the illustration such as the lunch box of the other day that I could spend near a kitchen.
I say, "I think that it is not the atmosphere of that feeling now." and do not want to write it recently if I say that I want to use the handwritten Japanese LOGO again.
そんな調子で、毎回思わぬ答えが返ってくるのが、知らぬ間に面白くなってしまっていました。 This wrestled in many new plans without learning lesson though I was not surely popular even if after all the thing which I made when absolutely wonderful was not popular.
And it is this linen gauze handkerchief to have been just completed. I show cute embroidery of the one point without words.

"Of course I use it by oneself. It is all right for me it is not all right if pretty I am pretty, but there is it and this is all right is pretty."
