「トモタケ」とは、布を主な素材として作家活動をしている朝武雅裕さんとデザイナーである朝武広子さんご夫婦が一緒にものづくりをしている時のユニット名です。アートとしての作品を、景色として生活の中に取り込みたいという思いから、泥染や刺繍による布作品を、日常のアイテムとして仕上げています。
今回の紙ものに施された猫のデザインは、実際に泥染された布を原画として版を作り、凸版印刷で仕上げました。
トモタケさんの魅力の一つは、作り込みすぎない絶妙のバランス感覚のようなものだと思いますが、微妙なカスレやニジミは穏やかさを感じさせ、自然体の優しさにつながっている気がします。

I think that attractive one of the attendant bamboo is a thing such as the exquisite sense of balance that I do not elaborate too much, but delicate カスレ and ニジミ let you feel calmness and feel like being connected in the gentleness of the natural posture.
