``Traditional lacquer art Nawate'' has a characteristic striped molding on the lid, giving it a functionally beautiful finish.
The main body is made of metal powder, covered with metal foil to give it a frayed appearance, and finished with lacquer, giving it a careful and deep finish that gives you a sense of dignity and historical weight.

``Urushiko Yoshida'' is a lacquer workshop in Aizuwakamatsu that has continued for three generations.
``Traditional lacquer art Nawate fountain pen'' was created by Toru Yoshida, a lacquer craftsman who considers the form and technique that best suits the purpose of the vessel, regardless of the Aizu lacquering technique.
The stripes that extend across the lid create a vertical visual effect, and the shape is designed to provide a sense of stability when opening and closing the lid due to the grip of your fingers when holding it, and it can be said to be a true piece of functional beauty.

Aizu lacquerware is a craft made using traditional techniques that have been passed down since the Edo period in the Aizu region located in the western part of Fukushima Prefecture. The humid climate unique to the basin was suitable for working with lacquer. It has an auspicious design and a variety of beautiful decorations.
The history of Aizu lacquerware as an industry begins in 1590 (Tensho 18) when Ujisato Gamo arrived in Aizu.
Due to its proximity to Edo, it became a major production center where all operations, from growing lacquer trees to decoration, were carried out throughout the process, and efforts were made to innovate technology, to the point that it was exported to foreign countries at the end of the Edo period.
