``Kuretake Wood Glass Pen - Senbonzakura'' has a wood shaft made from natural cherry blossoms from Mt. Yoshino in Nara, and each glass nib is carefully handcrafted by a craftsman. 120 years since the birth of glass pens Glass pens are a Japanese-born writing instrument that is said to have been developed by a Japanese wind chime craftsman in 1903. At the same time, Kuretake Co., Ltd. was also founded in 1903. To commemorate our 120th anniversary, we have released "Kuretake Wood Glass Pen Senbonzakura" as one of the writing instruments suitable for the 120th anniversary. ■Yoshinoyama natural cherry blossoms
The wood used for the shaft is natural cherry blossoms from Mt. Yoshino. Yoshinoyama is also registered as a World Heritage Site.
Since 1,300 years ago, it has been prohibited to cut down cherry trees on Mt. Yoshino for any purpose other than conservation.
The Yoshino cherry tree suffered a lot of damage in the 2018 typhoon and fell down. Kuretake is headquartered
We wanted to make use of fallen cherry trees in Yoshino, Nara Prefecture by transforming them into products using cherry blossoms.
I inherited some of it. The wooden shaft carved from Yoshino cherry tree gives you a sense of the warmth of nature.
The more you use it, the more it becomes a masterpiece.
The wooden pen rest is also made from the same natural cherry tree. Gently hold the glass pen
It has a soft shape that can be placed easily. The color and texture of each piece of wood is unique to natural wood.
