patina
The metal-colored design allows you to enjoy the different expressions created by hand.
The metal coloring, created in Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, using traditional techniques with a history of over 400 years and new techniques researched daily, gives metals a richly colorful appearance.
The brown patina, which is said to be a mottled peacock color, that we adopted this time is a uniquely developed color inspired by the traditional metal coloring technique ``sugaraki''. By controlling chemicals and flames, we create vivid colors on the brass through chemical reactions. The colors of metal coloring, which are applied one by one by hand, cannot be created by painting, and can only be expressed by casting. We have developed traditional coloring techniques and succeeded in applying color to thin copper plates of less than 1 mm, making it possible to apply coloring to writing instruments. The colors created by metal coloring will become more textured the more you use them, just like wearing denim.
