As a result of our dedication to creating the ultimate nib by master craftsmen who have inherited traditional techniques, we have been able to earn the trust and reputation of a fountain pen nib that is said to be ``Sailor'' when it comes to fountain pen nibs.
It has an outstanding writing quality and a solid response that allows you to enjoy the real pleasure of using a fountain pen. This proud nib is a masterpiece that can only be made by a skilled craftsman.
[Nagano sharpening]
In order to write kanji that have a lot of tome, hang, and bulge in the most beautiful way, the pen has the feature that you can draw thick lines when you lay it down, and thin lines when you hold it upright.
Compared to a standard nib of the same character width, the long sharpened nib is thicker.
History of the development of “long sword sharpening”
Naginata sharpening, which has been passed down since the company's founding in 1911, temporarily disappeared as fountain pens became mass produced after the war and nib processing became more mechanized, but the technique has been passed down by pen craftsmen Gunichi Koyama and Nobuyoshi Nagahara.
Around 1991, based on customer feedback, Nobuyoshi Nagahara revived the pen as a modern long sword sharpener by further improving the sharpening method used at the time of its founding, with the aim of creating a "fountain pen that could be written at an angle."
