Sailor Fountain Pen Traditional Lacquer Art Rei Aomori Ryomon-nuri Fountain Pen Medium (M): 10-8066-420
The second installment of the lacquered fountain pen series ``Traditional Lacquer Art Rei'', which uses lacquerware from all over the country to create fountain pens.
Ryomon-nuriBorn from the suminagashi technique of paper making and the streamer technique of watercolor painting, it is unique in the world of lacquer painting.
In Aomori Prefecture, which is a cold region, lacquer often dries slowly and the color does not come out well, so in Tsugaru, people studied the technique of layering and created a technique called ``togidashi kairi-nuri.''
Ryomon-nuri has a highly original and sensitive expression due to the layered lacquer coating that is characteristic of kinari-nuri.
The Ryomon lacquer applied to this product is reminiscent of a marble pattern, and combined with the domestic lacquer finish, it is a wonderful masterpiece unique to lacquer.
■Packaging made in Japan
The paulownia box, which is said to be the most suitable material for storing lacquer products, is made from fine-grained, high-quality domestic paulownia. We use Sanada cord, which is durable and does not stretch easily, for the knot.
Each bag is cut from unraveled pure silk kimono fabric, and each item is handmade, down to the nails. It feels nice to the touch and is suitable for storing fountain pens.
