Sailor fountain pen Traditional lacquer art Rei Ishikawa Creative Kaga lacquer fountain pen Medium (M): 10-8068-420
The second installment of the lacquered fountain pen series ``Traditional Lacquer Art Rei'', which uses lacquerware from all over the country to create fountain pens.
Creative Kaga lacquerwareis an ingenious version of Negoro-nuri, which originates from Negoro-ji Temple in Wakayama Prefecture.
Negoro-nuri is a product with black lacquer as the undercoat and vermilion as the topcoat.Even when the vermilion fades, the black lacquer underneath looks like scratches, making it a beautiful masterpiece.
The polished domestic lacquer finish gives this piece a richer texture.
■Packaging made in Japan
The paulownia box, which is said to be the most suitable material for storing lacquer products, is made from fine-grained, high-quality domestic paulownia. We use Sanada cord, which is durable and does not stretch easily, for the knot.
Each bag is cut from unraveled pure silk kimono fabric, and each item is handmade, down to the nails. It feels nice to the touch and is suitable for storing fountain pens.
