The second installment of the lacquered fountain pen series ``Traditional Lacquer Art Rei'', which uses lacquerware from all over the country to create fountain pens.

The northern Tohoku region, including the Appi district of Hachimantai City, Iwate Prefecture, has been famous as a major producer of lacquerware since ancient times.
Appi lacquerware is characterized by its excellent hardness and sturdiness, as it is coated with lacquer, starting from the base coat to the top coat.
Jusui-nuriKinoshiru coloringis a lacquer coating that features a unique openwork technique called ``Mizukagami,'' which is a unique technique of applying layers of Appi lacquer and polishing to create vivid colors.
The jusui lacquer applied to this product has created a unique and sensitive worldview.
The lacquerware is finished with domestically produced lacquer, making it an elegant piece with a soft luster while making the most of the essence of lacquer.

■Packaging made in Japan
The paulownia box, which is said to be the most suitable material for storing lacquer products, is made from fine-grained, high-quality domestic paulownia. We use Sanada cord, which is durable and does not stretch easily, for the knot.
Each bag is cut from unraveled pure silk kimono fabric, and each item is handmade, down to the nails. It feels nice to the touch and is suitable for storing fountain pens.
