This is a recycled pencil made by splicing together scrap wood that could not be used due to curls, streaks, or chipping.

When processing pencil shafts, those with edges, chips, or rotten wood are disposed of as waste. After removing the unnecessary parts of these scraps, we spliced the remaining short pieces together and reused them as pencil shafts.
Graphite is also recycled
For the core of Kimonogatari, we use highly purified recycled graphite, which is made by separating and refining the graphite suitable for pencils from among the graphite produced as a by-product in the factory manufacturing process.
