Lacquer Art Saiga
A writing implement series that expresses the traditional Japanese "color" and graceful beauty "miyabi" with colored lacquer
Creative Kaga Lacquer "Seiga Lacquer"
Seiga Lacquer is a new technique in which lacquer is applied with a brush, the surface is polished, and then a silk cloth is used to apply layers of lacquer to create a pattern.
The lacquer is applied to silk cloth, and the cloth is rubbed while slowly letting it seep out, creating a rich expression.
The pattern is intentionally not made to stand out too strongly, and a sense of grace is also expressed by using a base color lacquer and a specially processed lacquer.
Furthermore, by gently sprinkling pure gold and pure silver powder on the surface of the lacquer, it is combined with an elegant elegance, and it is a painting technique that shows a tasteful expression that cannot be expressed by lacquer brush painting alone.
After completing the Seiga Lacquer, the lacquer is properly stored in a room for 1 to 2 months to allow the lacquer to dry and stabilize, and then the product is assembled.
[Deep Scarlet] A noble color from the Asuka period. It was a time-consuming dyeing method that mixed madder and purple.
[Dark lapis lazuli] In the Edo period, the noble lapis lazuli navy blue was in fashion as it seemed to shine against the dark navy blue.
[Blue and blue] The blue represents "jasper," which has been considered a mysterious precious stone since ancient times, such as the Tamazukuri stone of Izumo.
[Literary tea] A stylish brown color that was born in the mid-Meiji period from the literati who enjoyed poetry, calligraphy, painting, and other literary arts.
The package is a paulownia box, which is said to be ideal for storing lacquer products, and the tying string is made of strong Sanada string, which is resistant to stretching.
