What is World Watercolor Month?
Every year, from July 1st to July 31st, participants are invited to submit one watercolor painting per day online as part of a one-day art challenge.
It was started in 2016 by Charlie O. Shields, the creator of Doodlewash?, an organization that promotes the joy of watercolor painting. Today, artists from all over the world, including the United States, India, and Europe, who love watercolor painting, participate in the event.
In the summer of 2021, Kuretake Co., Ltd. held the Kuretake Watercolor Art Competition, a watercolor art competition for students nationwide, to coincide with World Watercolor Month 2021. We invited submissions using the Kuretake Transparent Watercolor 12-Color Palette, and received many wonderful works from all over the country.
The packaging for this product features five winning works from this competition.
